Portrait Of Leaders
Portrait of Leaders consists of four members who formed in the summer of 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Emerging from different bands in the Winnipeg Music scene that consisted of Rock, Jazz, R&B, and Metal Genres. What makes portrait of leaders unique from the current music atmosphere is the bands ability to embrace every member’s different styles and influences. This providing the creative template for a cohesive orgy of fresh music.
Needing to fill the void in the current music scene that we feel lacks soulful writing and soulful performances. We believe both recorded and live music should be above all passionate, but should also convey the labour that went into it through deftness and accuracy. With everyone in the band being a writer, our songs have different attitudes, but this is what captures our signature sound.
Our music is good clean fun… We bring screaming lead guitar, which pays homage to classic guitar legends, melodies and lyrics that get stuck in your ear like wax, captivating bass lines so good you can sing them, and ghost note rhythmic percussion that will haunt your dreams for nights.
We have been fortunate in our first year and have been winning over audiences and gaining new fans. We strive on engaging with our audience and providing a memorable experience. Our audiences have been very responsive to our songs and amazingly have been singing our lyrics back to us at recent shows.
We are currently writing, and sifting through songs and ideas to be recorded for our upcoming debut album in late 2016, early 2017. We will be embarking on our first tour in August 2016 to promote our Demo and increase our musical reach across the country.
